Quick update from Somewhere in the Middle of California. . .
Our good friend Theresa was in the L.A. area for a family wedding and stopped to hang out with us! (her husband stayed home feeling sick, poor guy)You can see that our pets were VERY shy about meeting her. . . HA! Anyhow, she stopped on Thursday night and stayed most of Friday before heading down to L.A. But then we met her in Rosamund on Saturday night at the Cat House (http://www.cathouse-fcc.org/) for their annual Twilight Tour event and she stayed with us until after church on Sunday. It was really fun to get some time together!
I apologize in advance for the pics--they are more for an idea of what we saw; the light was not good and my little camera was stretched. The Cat House is a breeding facility for exotic cats and once a year they open in the evening (when the cats are much more active) and give them different stimulus while the public is there to watch and enjoy.
Leopards with phonebooks. . . it's so crazy to see big cats playing like your very own little cat!!Cougar (too busy pacing and watching the Phone Book Escapades to do any playing) Boxes were Big Fun One pair of leopards got MELON!!! Fuzzy baby bobcat with a broken pawSome years they apparently give cats bowling balls; they don't seem quite as cute and cuddly after seeing this. There was a tiny baby River Cat in the visitor center! It wrestled like crazy with it's stuffed bear--too funny! This is a fuzzy picture of what it will look like when it's grown.I finally gave up on more pictures; the light went from bad to worse. But we saw all sorts of cats. They didn't end up taking any out as they apparently have in the past; there were just too many people. Good for their fundraising though, I guess.
And of course, we have our own little show at home just about every day. . .
One last pic of our tired peanuts. . .
(that's about how I'm feeling, so I'm going to end here!)
Goodnight!
