The wildflowers are out!
(Remember that you can click on the pics to make them bigger;
the fields of color are hard to see otherwise)
I wish I knew the names of all the flowers! They are just a cacophony of colors . . . I've labeled the ones I've found names for:
California Poppy

Bentham's Lupine

Err . . . Some Other Kind of Lupine?

Fiddleneck

Owl's Clover

It was such a gorgeous afternoon. This cross stands out in the middle of nowhere, shining in the sun; I thought it was so striking.

Can you see the snow on the trees at the top of this picture??

And just because we went back to the dog park this week and had such fun . . . first seeing the beautiful buds, and then playing with the pups.

Another Grinning Pippin for mom :-)

Going after the ball

You would
think that the mad dash meant they understood and were going to bring it back for another go . . . but no. Apparently they just have a high need to chase things moving fast.
This is what they do when they catch it--before wandering off completely (note Pip's shadow).

Look at these faces . . . how can we not go EVERY day?? Believe me, that's what they ask us in their Not-So-Subtle Ways (like making a dash for the car when I go to switch laundry in the garage). Ha!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for all the birthday wishes here, on
Facebook, on e-mail and on the phone!

We could set up a schedule to call and sing to you at semi-regular intervals... you know... if you just didn't get enough of our lovely voices...
